Shipping Policy

Where we ship

Viento Wine ships throughout South Africa. We currently do not ship internationally — for orders outside South Africa, please contact us at chris@vientowine.com.

Delivery methods

  • Standard courier delivery via The Courier Guy across South Africa. Age verification (18+ signature) is required on delivery.
  • Free collection from our winery at 56 Main Road, Paarl. Tasting room hours: Fridays 14h00–17h00, Saturdays 10h00–14h00, or by appointment.

Delivery timing

  • Order processing: 1–2 working days from payment confirmation.
  • Cape Town Metro & Cape Winelands: 2–3 working days after processing.
  • Rest of South Africa: 3–5 working days after processing.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by public holidays, weather, or courier operational issues.

Shipping rates

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and order size.

  • Cape Town Metro + Winelands: from R150 per 6-bottle case.
  • Rest of South Africa: from R200 per 6-bottle case.
  • Free shipping on all orders over R2,000.
  • Free collection from the winery on any order size.

Multiple parcels

Wine ships in 6-bottle cases. Orders larger than 6 bottles will arrive as multiple cases, each with its own tracking number. These parcels are typically delivered together on the same day.

Age verification

All alcohol deliveries in South Africa require the recipient to be 18 years or older and to sign at delivery. The Courier Guy driver will request proof of age at delivery. If the recipient is not 18 or over, or is unable to sign, the parcel will be returned to us — please note that a return delivery fee will apply.

Damaged or missing deliveries

If your wine arrives damaged or if a case is missing, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at chris@vientowine.com with photos and your order number. Broken bottles are covered by The Courier Guy's transit insurance up to declared value, and we will replace the affected bottles or refund the affected portion of your order.

Sales and delivery under liquor licence

All wine sales and deliveries are made under a valid South African liquor licence. By purchasing from Viento Wine, you confirm that you are 18 years or older and that alcohol will not be supplied to anyone under 18.
